Christmas DIY gifts

Christmas DIY gifts

Christmas is just around the corner and I have been very busy preparing some DIY presents for my friends. Krakow celebrates Santa Claus day on 6th of December each year and I was keen on making some handmade presents. I love the idea of DIY gifts and I love doing some crafts.

Since my trip to India in March this year, I paid a visit Itsy Bitsy – a craft supplies store. They have everything a person needs from jewellery making to card making, to scrapbook scrapbooking, to decoupage, painting and other craft supplies.  I loved their collection and picked up a few bits and bobs. I am self-taught in terms of making DIY’s, paintings etc and just have a keen sense of imagination and how the final product should look like in my mind before I go out and source for the materials.

This time I made a couple of decoupage items as it’s my new area of interest. I made an upcycled glass wine bottle, a decoupaged tissue box holder and a cheese board. All items were very easy to make, but takes a lot of time in between drying time. Also accompanying these gifts were some handmade cards, using glitter and some scrap papers.

I plan in the near future to keep crafting and adding some extra handmade items under my page Chickaboo Creations. Hope you have a wonderful and peaceful time ahead in preparation for Christmas!

I took a couple of photos before handing out the gifts to their new owners 😀
